For example, a hotel may need traveler names, a transportation company may need a passenger manifest, and a cruise line may require identification and other passenger information.
Independent Privacy Practices
Independent travel suppliers may process information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations. Departure Depot does not control the privacy practices of independent suppliers.
Resort Preview & Promotional Travel Programs
Certain Departure Depot offers involve promotional relationships with resort, hospitality or travel-program partners.

We may share information with service providers, travel suppliers, promotional partners and advertising or analytics providers as described in this Privacy Policy.
Certain state privacy laws may define some forms of targeted advertising or data sharing more broadly than an ordinary monetary “sale.” Where applicable, we will honor rights required by those laws.

We may send transactional emails regarding reservations, payments, itinerary updates, cancellations and customer service.
If you have subscribed to marketing communications or where otherwise permitted by law, we may also send information about new trips, special offers, events and Departure Depot news.
Marketing emails include an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or trip-related messages.
SMS & Text Messaging
Departure Depot may use text messaging for trip updates, reservation communications, customer service and, where consent has been provided, marketing.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing travel from Departure Depot.
You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP to an applicable message. You may receive a confirmation of your opt-out.
Transactional communications necessary to administer a trip may be handled separately where permitted by law.
Advertising, Analytics & Marketing
We may work with advertising, analytics and technology providers to understand how people discover and interact with Departure Depot.

Customers should also protect account credentials and notify us if they believe their Departure Depot account or information has been compromised.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate business, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution and legal-compliance purposes.
Retention periods vary based upon the type of information, transaction and applicable legal requirements.
